Lori Mixon has accomplished much in her five short years as a realtor in Okeechobee County. Lori served as the 2006 President of the Okeechobee County Board of Realtors and the 2007 Past President. She began her real estate career in September 2002 at The Tucker Group, LLC. During her first year she became the top producer and has been the offices # 1 Sales Associate for the last five years.  After her first year in real estate she was asked to serve as a Director on the Okeechobee County Board of Realtors, and in three years was elected President.

Prior to  real estate Lori pursued other careers.  You may have seen her driving around town in a pink Cadillac during the ten years she sold Mary Kay Cosmetics. She also achieved top sales positions with several other national companies. Each one of these experiences has prepared her for the success she has today.

In 1983, Ron and Lori along with their two sons moved home to Okeechobee. Today, Ron works for South Florida Water Management, Scott serves in the United States Air Force and J.D. is a real estate agent and commercial appraiser with D.R. Wilson Land Company.

Ron, Lori and her mother, Emily, are living in and restoring the home of Lori’s dreams. This magnificent, historic, two-story home was built in 1924.  It is one of two homes that originally stood uptown

 

where Bank of America is located today. This home has survived many storms including the great Hurricane of 1928.

Lori’s energetic and positive personality makes the buying and selling process one of sheer enjoyment.  Many call her the “Huggin’ and Prayin’ realtor.” Her familiarity with the Okeechobee real estate market and her true desire to serve the needs of her customers enables her to find your perfect home or property.

Lori’s success comes from her ability to relate to people.  She calls this “Relational Real Estate”, where the relationship is more important than the sale.  Lori pays extreme attention to

every detail.  She believes that each agent should build a team of associates including, a title company, lender, inspector, appraiser and surveyor that will give her customers exemplary service.  With this team concept she is able to focus on a smooth and timely transaction.

Lori’s team concept has expanded with the hiring of Mandy Markham, her Executive Assistant.  Mandy’s communication and technical skills further enhance the quality of service she’s able to give her customers.  Mandy is the one who enables Lori to spend more time with her customers, concentrating on sales and listings.  In observing them at work, it is evident that they share a common goal of exceptional customer service.
